Our Founder 

Christian Petersen is the founder and CEO of Avalon Meat Candy, a veteran-owned company built on passion, craftsmanship, and a relentless pursuit of creating the perfect beef jerky. His journey began more than a decade ago as a devoted jerky enthusiast searching for the best beef jerky he could find. Frustrated by limited availability and inspired by a desire to create something even better, Christian began developing his own recipes and techniques.

After serving in the United States Coast Guard and successfully building Avalon Electric, Christian relocated to Las Vegas, where he frequently shared his homemade jerky with clients, friends, and business associates. The response was overwhelming. What started as a hobby quickly became a sought-after product, and in April 2016, Avalon Meat Candy was born.

Yvonne Petersen is the owner of Avalon Meat Candy and works alongside her husband, founder Christian Petersen, to deliver premium gourmet beef jerky made with the highest quality ingredients. Together, they are passionate about creating bold, unforgettable flavors while maintaining the craftsmanship and quality that Avalon Meat Candy is known for. Their shared commitment to excellence has helped build a trusted brand loved by jerky enthusiasts nationwide.
